Jim Wallace & the House Cats
Hard-hitting West Coast and Chicago blues is the calling card of the House Cats. Featuring Jim Wallace on harmonica, Paris Slim (Franck Goldwasser) on guitar, and the dynamic rhythm section of Jimi Bott on drums and Sam Schlosser on bass, the ‘cats lay down an impressive show of traditional blues styles, showcasing Paris Slim’s mastery of electric and slide guitar and heartfelt vocals, and Wallace’s lowdown blues harp.
Paris Slim, has played with a who’s who of the blues, including a long stint in the house band at Eli’s Mile Hi club in Oakland, gigs and tours with Jimmy McCracklin, Lowell Fulson, Percy Mayfield and Charlie Musselwhite. Slim also performs with the Mannish Boys. You can hear his latest release, Franck Goldwasser “Bluju” on Delta Groove records.
Jim Wallace blows harp in the vein of James Cotton and William Clarke. He received the Cascade Blues Association Muddy award for best harmonica in 2008. His CD “Rush to Hell” was released on the Cool Buzz label, and he is a featured artist on Jimi Bott’s CD, Bott and Paid for, with Paul Delay.
Jimi Bott is recognized as one of the finest blues drummers in the world. His career with Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and performances on more than 60 CD’s, has earned him international acclaim. He has released 2 CD’s of his own, Cheap Thrills and Bott and Paid for.
