Zydeco Swamp Romp

Zydeco, that infectious, hard-grooving mix of Louisiana Cajun, blues and R&B, dominates the A&E Front Porch stage on Saturday, July 3. The festival's 10th annual Zydeco party, sponsored by the Cascade Zydeco Association, features dance lessons by Roland & Janine Jemerson, dance demonstrations on a dance floor brought in specially for this event, and music by four hard-rocking zydeco acts fronted by third-generation artists steeped in the traditions of Southwest Louisiana. Headliner Curley Taylor, a huge hit at the festival four years ago, returns. Other featured acts include Donna Angelle & Zydeco Posse, Corey Ledet & his Zydeco Band, Captain Leroy & the Zydeco Locals, André Thierry & Zydeco Magic, and Too Loose Cajun Band.
