News Media Kit

Welcome reporters, music critics and photographers to the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival -- celebrating blues, community and fighting hunger ... because no one should be hungry.

From its modest beginnings in 1988, the Waterfront Blues Festival has grown in size and reputation to be the largest blues festival West of the Mississippi and the second-largest blues festival in the United States.

We’ve gathered a wealth of resources, photographs and background information to help you with stories, photographs and interviews.

Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival is a benefit for Oregon Food Bank. All admission donations help Oregon Food Bank’s work to eliminate hunger and its root causes. Our sponsors make the festival possible.
