“She’s dangerous!” is what Bo Diddly said about Duffy Bishop when she shared the stage at his Birthday concert in Duffy’s home of Portland ,Oregon. She's a favorite wherever she performs, whether it be in an intimate club or a huge festival. Duffy connects with her audience and delivers her bigger-than-life voice with a warmth, humor and emotion that can't be ignored.

Duffy is the recipient of many awards including the Washington Blues Society and the Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Awards, . In her decades of performing, she has shared the stage with many legends, including Ruth Brown, John Lee Hooker, Lou Rawls, Bonnie Raitt, Shemekia Copeland, Bobby Blue Bland and Paul deLay.

Together with her long time collaborator, guitarist and husband Chris Carlson, they have played venues across North America, Europe and Asia . Ms.Bishop has recorded seven albums of her own as well as appearing on numerous compilations and is in the process of recording a new album.

Since 1998, when not touring with the band, Duffy and Chris join Teatro ZinZanni, a brilliant and crazy cabaret/circus show based in Seattle and San Francisco. Duffy stars in the show as Madame ZinZanni, a role also performed by Heart's Ann Wilson, Thelma Houston, Joan Baez and Francine Reed.

Duffy has been performing at The Waterfront Blues Festival since 1992 and it continues to be one of the favorite occasions in her life.
